Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross a.k.a. Nine Inch Nails have become godheads of film and TV scores over the past decade-and-a-half, beginning with their Oscar-winning score for the 2010 film The Social Network and going up to rack up dozens of awards and nominations since then. Later this year, they’ll join some of their contemporaries for Future Ruins, a festival featuring performances from some of the most legendary and exciting names in scoring. It takes place on November 8,2025 at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, and tickets are available on Wednesday, May 21 at 12 pm.

The festival’s website bills itself as “a first-of-its-kind music festival of the world’s most influential composers.” Veterans will include Danny Elfman, Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh, John Carpenter, Terence Blanchard, and of course, Trent and Atticus themselves. Other highlights include Hildur Guðnadóttir, Cristobal Tapia de Veer, and Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow, as well as Questlove’s performance of Curtis Mayfield’s scores.

“Each artist is encouraged to take big swings and reimagine their work for a live audience,” the website reads. “Ranging from electronic sets and live bands to orchestral performances, fans have the chance to experience live debuts from composers who rarely appear onstage.”
