Lola Young has confirmed that she is “doing OK” after she collapsed on stage at a New York festival over the weekend.

Young, who is best known for her hit single “Messy,” was performing at All Things Go at the Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday (September 27) when she first stumbled, then dropped her microphone and fell backwards while performing “Conceited.”

After the performance, Young posted on Instagram: “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now. She also asked “the people that love to be mean online” to leave her alone and pulled a show in Washington D.C. the following day.

Earlier in her festival set, Young had spoken about how she “had a tricky couple of days,” a reference to having canceled a performance at New Jersey’s Prudential Center on Friday.

“Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool,” she told the All Things Go crowd. “Sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”

Doechii performed after Young and thanked the audience for supporting Young while she received medical attention. “She’s an incredibly talented artist, and she wasn’t feeling well tonight, and I’m so glad you guys were there to support her and hold her up,” Doechii said. “Let’s wish her the best, OK everybody?”

Young released her third studio album, I’m Only F**king Myself, earlier this month. In addition to “Messy” it features the singles “D£aler” and “One Thing.”
