Lil Wayne was always likely to play a role in this year’s Super Bowl, but announcing a new Tha Carter album as part of a TV ad wasn’t on many bingo cards.

Wayne, who expressed disappointment that he was overlooked for the halftime show in favor of Kendrick Lamar, stars in a new campaign for Cetaphil. The skincare brand riffs on Wayne’s feelings about this year’s Super Bowl with the strapline “We’re all a lil sensitive.” The ad features multiple allusions to “6-6-25,” with the numbers appearing on the back of football jerseys and a basketball score board. The action then moved to his studio, with a sign on the door that reads “Do Not Disturb ’Til 06-06-25” and “Carter VI.”

Shortly after the ad launched on Thursday, Wayne’s label Universal confirmed that he will release Tha Carter VI on June 6. The sixth edition of the long-running series will be the follow-up to 2018’s Tha Carter V. The first Carter album dropped in 2004.

In addition to the Super Bowl ad and album announcement, Wayne has also jumped on a remix of LiAngelo Ball (a.k.a. GELO)’s viral hit “Tweaker.” The song arrives with a video The music starring Ball and his brothers, Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo and Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo. Check it out below.
