Imagine folktronica filtered through modern pop idols and add a sprinkle of Vegyn’s label PLZ Make it Ruins, and you’d find yourself with something resembling the music of Elijah Waters. The London-based artist first made waves with the loping grooves of 2020’s “Lose Control,” and his first single for FADER Label, “New Mind,” drops today. “‘New Mind’ is a cry for help with a smile on my face,” Elijah says in a press statement. “An ode to indulgence… a need to screw my face off just because it’s safer than being at home.” Hear the track in the whimsy and vibe-filled video below.
