Sean “Diddy” Combs will remain in jail until October when he will be sentenced for his prostitution-related conviction, a judge said on Monday.

As the New York Times reports, Diddy’s bail application was rejected by judge Arun Subramanian. The defense’s most recent proposal included a $50m bond and travel restrictions with potential to add house arrest at his Miami home and electronic monitoring to the terms.

Diddy was convicted on July 2 of transportation to engage in prostitution and faces a maximum sentence of 20 years; he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, charges that could have carried a life sentence. The conviction carries the potential for up to 10 years in prison.

During the trial prosecutors claimed he used his fame and wealth and violence to coerce two former partners into sex parties he called “freak-offs.” Last week attorneys for Combs filed a new motion to overturn the convictions, claiming that his parties were legal pornography shoots protected by the First Amendment.

Outside of his federal charges, Diddy has faced numerous civil suits from different accusers who alleging rape, sex trafficking, and more.
