Daniel Caesar will release his new album, Son Of Spergy, on October 24, 2025. The project is his first in two years following 2023’s Never Enough. Caesar has also shared the album’s second single, “Call on Me.”
Caesar first started teasing the album on Instagram in mid-July, posting a video letter that reflected on his father’s history and generational family legacy. One week later, he released the album’s first single, “Have a Baby (with me).” Produced by Jordan Evans and Simon Hessman, the meditative song features soulful vocals over stripped-back piano.
The new single, “Call on Me,” is more upbeat than the album’s first, with buzzing guitar and steady drums propelling it forward. The song contains subtle religious themes and elements that reflect Caesar’s Jamaican heritage, according to a press release, and was produced with Matthew Burnett and Rami Dawod.
Caesar recently featured on “The Field,” a single from Blood Orange’s next album Essex Honey, released on June 26. He also made an appearance on Justin Bieber’s SWAG, credited as a songwriter, background vocalist, and producer on “DEVOTION.”
