A posthumous SOPHIE album is coming this fall.

According to a Twitter statement shared by Transgressive, the agency along with SOPHIE’s family and Future Classic decided to honor the late producer by releasing an album of previously unheard tracks.

As part of the announcement, her family has also shared a brand new track called “Reason Why,” featuring Kim Petras and BC Kingdom.

“We have been finding comfort in the music Sophie left us,” her family said. “It is a gift that we truly cherish as we try to find a way forward, with Sophie forever at the centre of our worlds.”

“Sophie gave all of herself to her music,” they continued. “It’s here that she can always be found.”

Following her untimely death, SOPHIE’s brother and longtime collaborator, Benny Long, confirmed the existence of unreleased music, adding that SOPHIE was almost done recording her sophomore album. In the wake of her passing, Long — who contributed to the mastering, mixing, and producing her Grammy-nominated debut Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides — decided to complete the record to celebrate his sister’s legacy.

SOPHIE will be released via Trangressive and Future Classic on September 27. Pre-order it here.
