The 5 best remixes from PinkPantheress’s Fancy Some More?

Fancy Some More?”>

Julian Song

PinkPantheress has enjoyed an excellent 2025 so far. Not only did she release her second album, Fancy That, she also recorded one of the better Tiny Desk Concerts in recent memory, won a chess tournament, and received an honorary doctorate from the University of Kent. The Queen of side quests will be seen next on an episode of the long-running U.K. quiz show The Weakest Link.

With all of that going on, it’s almost surprising that she had the time to piece together Fancy Some More?. The remix album comes in two parts; one-half being artist collaborations and the other made up of edits and reworks from DJs and producers. The whole thing works really well and acts as both a tribute to the formative figures of Pink’s sound (Sugababes, Basement Jaxx) as well as aligning her with her peers (JADE, Oklou, Bladee). Ahead, we break down five of the record’s standout moments.

“Stateside” + Zara Larsson

Out of the three (four, if you count Groove Armada’s DJ mix) new remixes for “Stateside” — deserved, because it is Fancy That’s best song — the one with Zara Larsson feels like it most accurately captures the song’s spirit. It’s mysterious, seductive, and rejiggered with a beat that possesses a deliciously grimy R&B underbelly. Larsson has been having a moment and her slick Swedish presence here turns it international. — Steffanee Wang

“Stars” + Yves

Pinkpantheress is a proud K-pop stan and that shows on Fancy Some More?, which features SEVENTEEN on “Illegal” and this track with former Loona member Yves. The pair make for a great combo, with Yves’ cut-glass vocals slicing through the breakbeats and low-end wobble on “Stars.” Of all the pairings on the project, it’s this duo you can most imagine listening to a full album from.

“Nice To Know You” + Sugababes

Had she been born 15 years earlier there is a good chance Pink might not have become a solo star in her own right and, instead, joined the ever-evolving Sugababes line-up. The 2000s group, now back and on solid ground with their original line-up, made their name with sleek and addictive pop music inspired by club music and boundary-pushing production. Their appearance on “Nice To Know You” gives the song a newly muscular sound and feels like a baton-passing moment between two generations of U.K. pop artists unafraid to move things forward.

“Illegal” + Nia Archives

This jungle remix of “Illegal” by U.K. producer Nia Archives was the only remix on Fancy Some More? that was available prior to the album dropping. The London-based artist jumped on the track at the height of its TikTok moment, moving it away from memedom and back into the club. The frantic and explosive version of the track, sped up to panic-attack levels, immediately became a staple in Nia Archives’s DJ sets and it’s easy to see why. It’s a certified banger.

“Girl Like Me” + Oklou

Fresh off the release of her excellent album choke enough and a collaboration with FKA twigs (not to mention the birth of her first child), Oklou is one of the few artists on Fancy Some More? to take things in a radically different direction. The original “Girl Like Me” is bouncy and vibrant, filled with twiddly guitar solos and a Basement Jaxx sample. Here, however, Oklou brings the party vibe down and adds a murkier atmosphere to the proceedings. Both artists share a healthy Y2K worship but it is Oklou that taps into the darker side of the era as she pulls out that same gloopy and opaque quality that makes her own music so alluring.
