Kevin Parker has dropped the first new Tame Impala song in over two years. “End of Summer” moves the Tame sound into dancier territory, with the seven-minute song powered by an acid-house beat. Check it out below.
In a message posted on Instagram, Parker described “End of Summer” with a simple: “A new era begins.” The song marks the first Tame Impala released on Columbia Records. In the same caption he described the song’s video as having been “shot in a place even dustier than my drum sounds.” Check out the Julian Klincewicz-directed clip below
Earlier this month Parker posted a collection of studio photos with the caption “Been busy😉.” The most recent Tame Impala album was 2020’s The Slow Rush. Since then Parker has collaborated with Thundercat and worked on multiple songs for movie soundtracks, including the critically acclaimed Barbie. Parker was also a producer and guest musician for Dua Lipa’s 2024 album Radical Optimism, and won his first Grammy for best dance/electronic recording in 2025 for “Neverender,” a collaboration with Justice.
