A fan was left injured after jumping off the stage at a Romanian music festival earlier this month during a set by Destroy Lonely.

Footage from Beach, Please!, a rap festival held in Costinești, shows a fan being invited on stage midway through the rapper’s set. “When this motherfucker drop, I need you to jump right back in there with your friends. Is you ready?” he asks the fan, who local media have identified as a 15-year-old named Nicolas. As the music resumes the young man jumps off the stage and, as additional footage shows, appears to land directly on a barricade.

@nssmagazine The incident took place at BEACH, PLEASE! in Romania, where Destroy Lonely allegedly forced the boy when he hesitated. The teen fell 3 meters onto a barricade and was later hospitalized with a lung contusion, liver damage, and a kidney injury. #destroylonely #concert #live #performance #musictok #beachplease #festival #romania ♬ suono originale – nss magazine

In an interview with Observator, Nicolas said, “When I fell I thought I was going to die.” He went on to state that, “I had no more air; I was left without air. And I don’t know. I thought that if I don’t get help here, these will be my last moments.”

In a statement obtained by Pitchfork, representatives for Beach, Please! said that safety of festival attendees is important to them and that Nicolas received immediate medical attention. “We are relieved and grateful to report that he is now in stable condition, recovering well, and expected to make a full recovery,” the statement reads. “At Beach, Please!, our mission is to create unforgettable experiences—never at the expense of safety.”

In the immediate aftermath of the incident involving a young man who was injured after jumping off the stage, Beach, Please! Festival took swift and concrete measures.

Our on-site medical teams intervened within seconds, providing immediate and professional care. The injured fan was promptly transported to the hospital, where he received the necessary treatment. We are relieved and grateful to report that he is now in stable condition, recovering well, and expected to make a full recovery. Throughout this time, we have remained in close contact with his family, offering our full support. His wellbeing continues to be our highest priority.

We fully respect the family’s privacy and will not be disclosing any contact details.

Beyond medical assistance, we acted immediately to strengthen safety protocols. That very night, we implemented a strict no-access policy for fans on stage during any artist performance. This rule was promptly communicated to all artist teams, security providers, and production staff. Any breach of this policy will now carry immediate consequences.

Beach, Please! is the largest festival in Europe and the biggest hip-hop festival in the world, with more than 500,000 total attendees over the course of this year’s edition—a record-breaking turnout that confirms the trust and enthusiasm of our global community. Across multiple days of programming and dozens of high-energy shows, this was the only such incident reported. Major artists such as A$AP Rocky, Yeat, Lil Tecca, Ken Carson, and Lil Baby performed alongside Destroy Lonely without any similar occurrences.

At Beach, Please!, our mission is to create unforgettable experiences—never at the expense of safety. We believe festivals must lead by example when it comes to care, responsibility, and respect for the crowd. This incident has only strengthened our commitment to those values.
