PinkPantheress has shared the first song from her next album. Written and produced by PinkPantheress, alongside aksel arvid and Count Baldor, “Tonight” comes with a period-drama style video in which the U.K. artist performs in a regency-inspired wardrobe and parties with a crew of dancers in a stately home. Check it out below.
Speaking in a new interview with Mixmag, published earlier this month, PinkPantheress said she is trying to worry less about external feedback with her next album. “This [new] one is about letting [expectations] go,” she said. “I’ve always been trying to strike a balance between being a popstar and also being experimental…but if you like it you like it, and if you don’t you don’t.”
“Tonight” is the first PinkPantheress release since she canceled all of her remaining 2024 tour dates last August, including support slots with Olivia Rodrigo and Coldplay, as well as the final leg of her own Capable of Love headline tour. She said focusing on her own physical health and wellbeing was behind the decision to pull the tour dates.
The new project, which doesn’t currently have a title but is expected in May, will be the follow-up to the 2023 album Heaven Knows.
