Rapper Gunna has released the video for his popular single “Banking On Me” off his “DS4Ever” album he dropped earlier this year in January.As the self-directed video continues, The recently incarcerated rapper is seen in his element, laying the vocals as he flashed his money with a bevy of women hanging around him next to a posh car.
Gunna Releases Official Statement From Behind Bars
Meanwhile, Gunna recently posted a statement on his present issues via Instagram. This is the first time he openly discusses his incarceration and subsequent bond denial on RICO charges.
In the statement, Gunna speaks on the injustice Black men in America face. He said:
“As a black man in America it seems as though my art is only acceptable when I’m a source of entertainment for the masses. My art is not allowed to standalone as entertainment I’m not allowed that freedom as a black man in America. It is a sad reality that slavery is still alive in America today its still affecting my people. In 12 states more than half of the prison population is black one of the states is Georgia.”
The “Pushin’ P” artist denied all accusations despite being denied bond during his court hearing.
“For now, I don’t have my freedom. But I am innocent. I am being falsely accused and will never stop fighting to clear my name.”
