Top Dawg celebrates SZA’s success.

A few hours ago, Punch geeked out over SZA doing it big on the Billboard chart.

“I’m not really a charts guy, I’m more interested and focused on records and albums that impact people’s lives. But it’s definitely a crazy feeling watching @sza’s “Good Days” move like it has been. A top 10 record from a song SZA just wanted to throw out there, that was dedicated to her grandmother. It further confirms my convictions in being honest and true to yourself in the music. Quality is the goal. Appreciate everyone involved. Let’s keep going! #TDE”

SZA Reveals Her Dreams Outside Of The Studio

Recently, SZA spoke to beauty publication Cosmopolitan about her dreams and aspirations outside of the studio. She let it be known she wants to change the world for good and listed out every way she’s going to do it.

It’s here that she spells out a three-and-a-half-minute stream-of-consciousness inventory of all the issues she wants to tackle: access to clean water, Black farming, reducing plastic emissions, and closing the achievement gap. There’s also mention of working with chimpanzees to find behavioral similarities between them and humans and maybe even implementing those findings into early-childhood psychology. Oh, and excursions with renowned nature photographer Paul Nicklen to the Arctic to learn what it feels like to be around such a huge source of the world’s fresh water. (Cosmopolitan)

SZA also dished out some details on her next album. Although no specifics were given, she said she’s taking her time and working on her own time while making the music come from the heart.

“This album is going to be the shit that made me feel something in my…here and in here [laying one hand on her heart and the other on her stomach]. That’s what’s going to go on the album. I’m making all different types of shit every day from different places in my spirit.” (Cosmopolitan)
